Design Week South Africa presents Showcase at RMB Latitudes 2026

Following her prestigious win of the 2025 ANNA Award, Maifala will showcase a new body of work in a dedicated solo booth, marking a significant milestone for Botswana’s contemporary art scene on the international stage.

After the successful launch of the Design Showcase last year, a collaboration between Design Week South Africa and RMB Latitudes Art Fair, we return for a second edition this May with four dedicated design spaces featuring over 25 African brands, happening as part of RMB Latitudes Art Fair at Shepstone Gardens from 22–24 May 2026.

We're excited to usher in the fifth year of the ANNA Awards, aimed at women-identifying artists from across the African continent. South African brands ANNA and Latitudes joined forces in 2022 to create an award that discovers, recognises and nurtures a new generation of women artists from Africa.

Award-winning architecture firm Boogertman + Partners returns to the RMB Latitudes Art Fair this year to design the centre court lounge for a second time, introducing an all-new design concept.

Each year, RMB Latitudes Art Fair presents ESSAY, a dedicated curatorial project that brings together focused dialogues between South African artists across generations.
