As an avid or aspiring contemporary art collector, which artistic media are you most drawn to? Painting, photography, printmaking, drawing, film, new media or sculpture?

Today, we look at an eclectic selection of three-dimensional artworks by 14 African sculptors, from emerging and mid-career talents to modern masters. While many of these works make use of more traditional materials such as bronze and wood, we also see the artist's toolbox expanding with the use of concrete, steel, resin, found objects and neon lights.

Together, this small selection of works allude to the sheer pleasure that sculptors take in their medium - a medium as challenging in its physicality as it is limitless in scope.
